How to talk about private renting
Webinar recording
How to talk about private renting was originally broadcast in July 2024, to accompany this guide of the same name. It focuses on how we can strategically frame what we say, so that we grow public support for reforming private renting. It is part of our Talking about Homes series with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Nationwide Foundation.
When we talk about improving housing in the UK, people often focus on the desire to own a home, with renting being seen as a temporary step along the way.

But we can change this by making particular choices to frame our communications.
