Talk about food-related ill health: another way to shift the conversation
Webinar recording
To improve the health of all children in the UK, we need to tell a more effective story about how what surrounds us shapes our health. Too often an overwhelming focus on individual choice gets in the way of the clear need for solutions in our environment, like restricting how unhealthy food is marketed on TV and online, or making healthy food more affordable and accessible.
This webinar, which was originally broadcast in February 2024, shares our findings on how using the term “food-related ill health” can help to change the conversation about children’s health and food in ways that will boost support for action. It also coincided with the launch of Impact on Urban Health’s free bank of images to support a new story about children’s health.
